It can get noisy inside your own head.
And the non-stop thoughts and internal commentary can become exhausting.
A lot of my work has evolved to support this specific issue. Attorneys, founder-CEOs, and other people who have accomplished a lot of external success ask me all the time:
“How can I quiet the noise inside their head? It’s stressing me out. I’m not fully present with my family, or my employees. I can’t sleep because my brain won’t turn off.”
Thoughts get loud.
Especially for those with lots of responsibilities, dreams, and ambitions.
And while meditation certainly helps, sometimes the fastest way to learn how to get out of your head is to slow way down. . . and get into an immersive learning experience.
That’s one of the reasons I lead retreats. In just 5 days, I can give my students an experience that will stay with them long after they return home.
And you’ll learn more in 5 days than from months of reading books or practicing meditation on your own.
When you’re on retreat, your mind, body and attention are present in a way that is so different from when you’re in the routine of regular life.
And, you can get feedback that is non-judgmental, warm, personal, and honest. This is one of the fastest ways to learn how to embody and live the teachings.
I’ve found that if you’re a very intellectual, analytical, or technical person — and if presence and emotions are confusing or frustrating to you — then my retreat is an incredibly powerful and effective way to learn, and you’ll be able to implement it when you get back home. Relationships and communication begin to improve immediately as you become more skillful with presence and emotion.
You just need to reconnect to that part of your true self. I can show you how.
Sound like something you’d like to experience for yourself? My next retreat is May 19-23.
