Recipe for World Change

There are so many ways to change the world.  That’s what scares me.  Everyone looking out across the world and wanting to make it different.  Maybe too many cooks in the kitchen?  But on a grand scale.  (The grandest scale.)

Here’s a recipe I’ve been working on:  A Recipe for World Change.

  1. Love yourself.
  2. Forgive yourself.
  3. Accept yourself.
  4. Allow joy.
  5. Allow all the other feelings.
  6. Hold yourself with compassion.
  7. Treat yourself with kindness.

We share what we have.  So cultivate the qualities you wish to have more of in the world.  More love?  Grow it.  More peace?  Grow it.  More happiness?  Grow it!  Start local.  Deeply, intimately local.  Within your own self.

This isn’t a new idea.  But it’s worth revisiting.  Again, and again.

You matter.  And when you cultivate love, forgiveness, acceptance, peace, and compassion, and when you have it within yourself, then that is what you share with everyone else who crosses your path.  It ripples out from you.  You become a source.  You help it to exist in the world.  You make the world a better place, from the deepest deep inside.

It serves all of us.
